Join the CHSS Staff and Administrative/Professional Faculty Advisory Council in welcoming its newly elected council members and expressing appreciation for its departing members
The CHSS staff and Administrative/Professional Faculty Advisory Council is pleased to introduce its newly elected council members. Please join us in welcoming:
- Jen Barnard, office manager, Department of Modern and Classical Languages
- Trang Ngo, administrative assistant, Department of English
- Rafaella Silva, graduate admissions outreach manager, Department of English
And join us in welcoming back David Soorenko, senior academic affairs coordinator, Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, to the advisory council.
The Council plays an essential role in advocating for the needs of our community, representing concerns at the college level and working to foster a supportive, collaborative, and enriching environment. Jen, Trang, Rafaella, and David will help bring unique perspectives and experiences to the council and contribute meaningfully to advancing our mission and goals.
They join continuing members Maria Carabelli, Anthony DeMaio, Sara Montiel, and Jacelyn Tyson (ex officio) to further the work Dean Ardis has asked of the Council.
The Council wishes to thank Barb Gomperts, Department of English Department, and Sharon Corradino, Department of Criminology, Law, and Society, for their foundational work in establishing this council over the past two years. Their leadership, guidance, and tireless commitment have helped shape the Council into what it is today. They have set a great example of collaboration and initiative that will be taken forward into this next iteration of the CHSS Staff and Administrative/Professional Faculty Advisory Council.
