The International and Foreign Language Education (IFLE) office at the U.S. Department of Education just announced the opening of the competition for the FY25 Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad (FRA) fellowships program. The IFLE expects to make 15 new awards under the FY 2025 FRA competition.
The Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad program fund fellowships through institutions of higher education to faculty members who propose to conduct research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies to improve their skill in languages and their knowledge of the culture of the people of these countries. The program is designed to contribute to the development and improvement of the study of modern foreign languages and area studies in the United States. Fellows conduct research abroad for three to 12 months.
Interested applicants should submit a PRA form so that CHSS Pre-Award can assist applicants with their FRA applications and notify the applicant of internal deadlines. The deadline to apply for an FRA fellowship is March 10, 2025.
