The College of Humanities and Social Sciences welcomes nominations for the 2023 Mary Roper Award. The award gives us a unique opportunity to recognize and reward the exceptional accomplishments of individual CHSS classified staff members who have made outstanding contributions and demonstrated excellent performance during the year. Prior award winners are eligible.
The award is named for Mary Roper, who worked in the Department of Biology, Office of the Provost, CAS Dean’s Office and the Office of the President for a total of over 30 years.
Please submit a letter of nomination to the Mary Roper Award Selection Committee, MSN 3A3, or via email to Jmlotkow@gmu.edu. Please include a paragraph on the candidate’s background (i.e., length of service in the department and/or at GMU) and describe the candidate’s contributions that went above and beyond during the past year.
The Mary Roper Award will be presented at a reception on Tuesday, December 5 at 10:00 a.m., in George’s (Johnson Center 3rd Floor).
