ITALY’S YOUNG TALENT: A Showcase of Italian Short Films

Film Series

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 3:00 PM EDT
Johnson Center Cinema

These recent films treat a range of crucial social issues in Italy today, from immigration to unemployment. Some of the experimental shorts were filmed in the U.S. and Brazil. The quality of this selection competes with the best of contemporary Italian film festivals (such as the Open Roads festival at Lincoln Center). Edward Bowen (M.A., Middlebury, M.A. University of Wisconsin at Madison) is the curator of this event.

Sponsored by Center for Global Education, the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Global Affairs, and the Film and Media Studies Program.
