Writing Research Across Borders II
4th International Writing Research Conference
February 17, 2011, 10:00 AM to February 20, 2011, 11:00 AM EST
Johnson Center, George Mason University
Continuing the success of the three previous international research conferences held at the University of California, Santa Barbara, the 2011 Writing Research Across Borders II will be held at George Mason University.
This conference will focus on writing development across the lifespan, including the impact of new technologies on learning to write, early acquisition of writing, writing across grade levels (K-20), writing in the disciplines and professions, and writing in the workplace or other community and institutional settings.
Writing is central to the life and prosperity of every modern society, the participation of every citizen in the institutions of power, and the life opportunities of every child. The conference is part of a worldwide effort to bring the power of writing to every child and citizen. In this spirit we invite studies, papers, proposals, and data from all languages.
