The traditional goal of climate policy – to reduce global warming – has now become more urgent than ever. Yet at the same time, humanity has no choice but “to adapt to the impacts that are in the pipeline.” Noted independent journalist Mark Hertsgaard presents his research and vision for addressing these challenges in this "Generation HOT."
Hertsgaard combines parental concern with political passion and news-media savvy to help build a popular movement to address global warming. He will discuss his timely new book, Hot: Living Through the Next Fifty Years on Earth as well as his campaign to call out the climate-change deniers.
