President Washington hosts Freedom and Learning Forum

Theme: Social justice, Anti-racism, and Inclusion

Monday, November 16, 2020 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST

The first Freedom and Learning Forum at Mason hosted by President Washington will focus on a theme of Racial Justice, Anti-Racism, and Inclusion. The forum will provide the opportunity for the campus community to engage with President Washington and key leaders on issues of campus climate, racial justice, equity, and inclusion.

In addition to President Washington, panelists will include Provost Mark Ginsburg, CHSS Dean Ann Ardis, Faculty Affairs Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Well-Being Milli Rivera, University Life Associate Dean Creston Lynch, and Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence Task Force co-chairs Shernita Parker and Wendi Manuel-Scott.

The hosts of the event, Mason's Offices of University Life and Compliance, Diversity, and Ethics, invite Mason community members to submit a question for the moderator to ask or to provide a videotaped question. We will try and get to as many questions as we can, say the organizers, and we will continue to take questions in real time during the forum. Questions that we do not answer will be addressed in future communications.
