Beatrice Gurwitz and Daniel Fisher of the National Humanities Alliance will share a series of case studies drawing on their work advocating for the humanities on campuses and in communities nationwide, demonstrating how humanities research reinforces efforts to engage students and the broader community.

Following their presentation, Gurwitz and Fisher will facilitate a group discussion on the challenges and possibilities of this work at Mason’s planned Center for Humanities Research.
