Mark Shealey started his federal law enforcement career in March 1983 as a Deputy US Marshal assigned to the US Marshal’s Office for the District of Columbia.  For the next 32 years, he promoted up the ranks to retire as an Assistant Director assigned to Interpol Washington.  During his career, he was involved in over 1000 arrests, to include “15 Most Wanted” fugitives, Violent Sex Offenders, federal escapees, major narcotics dealers, arms traffickers and war criminals.  His investigative experience span 29 years involving international and foreign fugitive investigations.  For approximately 20 years he was the investigative liaison, for the US Marshals Service, assigned to Fox Televisions “America’s Most Wanted” and CNN’s The Hunt with John Walsh.  His  efforts contributed to the arrest of over 1200 fugitives profiled by the television shows.  

In 2011, he deployed to Iraq as the Country Attache assigned to the Rule of Law Unit for the US Embassy - Baghdad. He was part of a two man US Marshals team tasked with developing and instructing a Physical/ Personal Security Program for Iraqi Security Forces. 

Since retiring from the US Marshals Service, he has been working, part time, for the Department of Homeland Security - US Citizen and Immigration Services as a Special Agent assigned to the Office of Investigations.

Mark started his college career in 1977, first obtaining his associates degree from Northern Virginia Community College and completing his undergraduate degree from George Mason University in 2006. 

Mark and his wife Julie (Retired US Marshal) reside in Fredericksburg, VA.  They have two grown daughters, two grandchildren and a third one on the way.
