Dr. Suzie Carmack, PhD, MFA, MEd, ERYT loves putting health communication and well-being promotion science to work for individuals, teams, organizations, and federal agencies. She currently serves as the Principal Communication and Well-Being Researcher with the American Institutes for Research and as an adjunct faculty member at Mason in both the Department of Global and Community Health and the School of Integrative Studies, where she has developed and taught courses in integrative health coaching, compassion in the workplace, mindfulness and movement in the classroom, and stress and well-being. 
She is also the CEO/Founder of the Center for Well-Being Education, a not-for-profit which is moving stress out of the school day with the Genius Break Project and out of the work day with executive well-being coaching, an ICHWC-approved Yoga and Well-Being Coach training program, and custom-fit technical assistance to teams, organizations and agencies. She has personally conceptualized designed, delivered and evaluated well-being strategy and program efforts for over 3000 clients, including the Pan American/World Health Organization, the National Park Service, the Department of Defense, and the USAF Air Combat Command, and she regularly presents her thought-leadership in keynotes and at adjudicated conferences (including 18 speaking engagements in 2018). As an interdisciplinary scholar/practitioner, 
Dr. Carmack holds degrees in the social sciences, natural sciences and humanities: a PhD from George Mason University in Health Communication (2014), an Med in Kinesiology (2009), and an MFA in Theatre (1991) as well as train-the-trainer professional credentials in Co-Interpretation (AIR, 2018), Health Coaching (ICHWC, 2015), Yoga (Yoga Alliance, 2006) and Pilates (Pilates Method Alliance, 2003).
