Major: BA in foreign languages with a concentration in Chinese

Plans after graduation: Phillips plans to complete an accelerated master’s program in foreign languages and hopes to be an interpreter.

Most impactful course: Chinese for the Business World. “I think what made it the most impactful was the content. Learning words in Chinese that are used in a business context will be very helpful in looking for jobs.”

Get involved

Chelsea Phillips enjoyed her time as a member of the Chinese Games Club and encourages and current and future George Mason students to get involved in the activities offered on campus. Whether it is joining a club, going to or helping at the writing center, attending events, Chelsea Phillips said “these are things that can really make a college experience so much more colorful, so I think everybody should utilize them if they aren’t already.”
