The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA) and Graduate Student Life have created the Graduate Student Champion Awards, a new award to recognize the individuals, offices, and organizations across the university who work tirelessly to advance graduate student success and well-being at George Mason University.

CHR Director Alok Yadav and Associate Director Catherine Olien, along with Davis, received their awards at the George Mason Graduate Interdisciplinary Conference on March 27.

"We were overjoyed that the CHR was recognized for its commitment to graduate student success and flourishing," Olien said. "Getting to know—and befriend—our talented humanities doctoral candidates has consistently been one of the best parts of my job for the past five years. I have so much respect for their drive and dedication, especially the international students, many of whom have faced compounded challenges in recent years."
