The National Humanities Alliance (NHA) will be hosting their 2026 NHA Annual Meeting and Humanities Advocacy Day March 8-10, in Washington, D.C. The NHA Annual Meeting and Humanities Advocacy Day brings together faculty, administrators, and representatives from scholarly societies, museums, archives and other humanities organizations to build their capacity to advocate for the humanities. The event will provide an opportunity to connect with a growing number of humanities advocates from around the country as well as an opportunity to cultivate relationships with policymakers and strengthen congressional support for federal humanities programs, including the NEH. The cost for the event is $300 for George Mason University faculty and staff if registering after January 22. Registration closes February 19, 2026.
The Consortium of Social Science Associations (COSSA) is a nonprofit advocacy organization working to promote and advance the social and behavioral sciences in federal policymaking. COSSA will be hosting its 2026 Social Science Advocacy Day March 23-24, 2026, in Washington, DC. Social Science Advocacy Day brings together social and behavioral scientists and science advocates from across the country to engage with policymakers in Congress about issues important to our community, such as federal funding. This opportunity is available to George Mason University faculty, staff, and students. The early bird registration rate is $95 and the student rate is $50.
