Funding opportunity for impacted psychology grants

Funding opportunity for impacted psychology grants

The American Psychological Foundation (APF) has launched the Direct Action Crisis Funding (DACF) program to provide up to five grants of up to $20,000 to early career psychological researchers who have lost federal funding. This new initiative aims to support researchers with immediate needs, such as completing data collection or preparing new grant proposals, after their grants were terminated by agencies like the NSF or NIH. Projects must be psychological in nature, have had a recently terminated grant, and align with one of APF's four Visionary Priorities, which include serving marginalized communities and preventing violence.

The application deadlines for this inaugural year are September 22, 2025, and December 22, 2025.  If you are interested in applying for this fellowship, please submit a CHSS Pre-Award Request for Assistance Form (PRA form) and that will assign a CHSS Pre-Award Research Administrator to work with you on the application, and to give you CHSS’s internal deadline for submission.
