Study Leaves for Term Instructional Faculty support professional development initiatives designed to advance scholarly research, teaching, and/or creative activity, including the development of innovative teaching approaches and methods. Eligible term instructional faculty are encouraged to apply. To ensure eligibility, potential applicants should carefully review the Term Faculty Study Leave Guidelines for details on eligibility criteria, study leave period, conditions of the award, and required application materials.
Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year must be submitted by 5PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 (COB). Please email your completed application materials to facchss@gmu.edu with the subject line: “Term Faculty Study Leave Application AY 25/26.” Late applications will not be accepted.
