Safety, Emergency, and Enterprise Risk Management recently released Emergency Preparedness Training. In accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia, Office of the Governor, Executive Order 41 (2019), this training is required annually and has been assigned to all employees’ MasonLEAPS accounts. Emergency Preparedness Training is designed to help individuals: 1) Develop an understanding of fundamental emergency management principles; 2) Introduce emergency planning and response resources provided by Mason that are available to all employees; 3) Assess and plan for known threats and anticipate hazards that might occur in the future; and 4) Review emergency response roles and responsibilities within the Mason Community. Training must be completed by Saturday, April 1, 2023. For new employees, training will be required within 90 days of hire.
