- NIH Data Management requirements – Effective 1/25/23. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently issued its final NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy) NOT-OD-21-013. This policy promotes the management and sharing of scientific data generated from NIH-funded or conducted research. The NIH has developed a resource site and suggested template for building a compliant Data Management Plan, and the University Libraries are also available for assistance. - New Forms H Effective 1/25/2023. “Effective January 25, 2023, all applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will be required to use grant application forms and application guide instruction “FORMS-H”. Please make sure to refer to the Forms H SF424 Application Guide when working on your proposal.
- NIH Budget Justification Updates Effective 1/25/2023. Due to the updates to the Data Management and Sharing Policy and new Forms H guidance, NIH applicants are now required to list data management plans under Other Direct Costs (ODCs) in budgets AND budget justifications, even is the cost is zero.
