Reminder to support CHSS Giving Day through December 15

Now through December 15, support our 24-hour giving challenge as part of the university's Season of Giving, as we showcase funds that are dedicated to our students' career readiness.

This is one of the most transformative periods in history, and the education we offer must continue to keep pace with an ever-changing landscape.

In a humanities and social sciences classroom, we ask critical questions, provide research that informs about issues that matter, and empower students to champion the common good. CHSS prepares each and every Mason student to forge ahead as graduates and become leaders in their communities and industries.

All kinds of experiential learning, and internships in particular, can open doors and lead to job opportunities for our students. We recently launched two funds to help provide support in this area:

  • Our Accessible Internships for Mason Students (AIMS) fund provides support for undergraduate and graduate CHSS students pursuing a nonprofit internship in the D.C. metropolitan area. These internships are often unpaid and these scholarships help provide access for our students who would otherwise be unable to participate (need-based and merit-based).
  • Our Workforce Development Fund supports CHSS undergraduate and graduate students in unpaid internships in any industry, and other professional and career development opportunities that may enhance their academic discipline.

Academically excellent, diverse, and career ready: George Mason University College of Humanities and Social Sciences' students are an asset to any industry they work in.

We appreciate your continuing support.
