Beginning September 1, 2022, a new electronic form became available to describe the various components of a specific position, which range from job functions and supervisory responsibilities to qualifications and work schedule. The new form replaces several forms, streamlining the process into one document. Forms being replaced include:
- Administrative/Professional Faculty Job Description
- Classified Employee Work Profile – Non-Supervisory
- Classified Employee Work Profile – Supervisory
- Research Staff Position Description
- Position Requirements Worksheet
The new job description form should be used by HR liaisons and supervisors who are creating new positions, filling vacant positions, submitting positions for evaluation and reclassification, or submitting existing descriptions for the staff compensation project.
The Classification and Compensation team will offer training on writing job descriptions and provide demonstrations on navigating the new form. Please stay tuned for information on registering for this training, and please contact Jacelyn Tyson, CHSS director, human resources, for more information.
