Janae Johnson

Janae D. Johnson, BS Psychology ‘11, MAIS ’15, has worked at Mason since 2011 and is the associate director of student employment and enrichment within the Office of University Branding. She also has a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida. 

In 2020, she founded JanaeDanielle Consulting & Design, LLC to help clients identify and achieve their desired business and event outcomes. 

Within the community, she is a student organization advisor, past president of Mason’s Black Alumni Chapter, and proud member of both Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Alfred Street Baptist Church. In 2022, Johnson was honored as a young leader through The Leadership Center and Leadership Fairfax’s Northern Virginia 40 Under 40 and she received a Community and Catalyst award from Mason’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.  

Originally from Petersburg, Virginia, Johnson, loves spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling any place warm. She lives by her family motto: “If I can help someone along the way then my living will not be in vain”.
