Mary Roper Award Nominations

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences welcomes nominations for the 2014 Mary Roper Award. This award seeks to honor a CHSS classified staff member who has made outstanding contributions and consistently demonstrates excellent performance, commitment, and dedication. The ideal candidate supports the goals of the department and college through his/her work with faculty, students, staff or the greater university community.

The award is named for Mary Roper, who worked in the Department of Biology and in the dean's office of the College of Arts and Sciences for a total of 14 years.

Please submit a letter of nomination to the Mary Roper Award Selection Committee, D207 Mason Hall, MS 3A3, or via email to  Please include a paragraph on the candidate's length of service in department or at Mason and describe the candidate's contributions to the department or unit.

Nominations are due by October 17, 2014. The award will be presented at a reception on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, 10:00 am, in the Center for the Arts, Third Tier Lobby.
