Lindsey Norcross came to the masters program in English, challenging herself to become a great teacher. She brought with her several years of teaching experience. After earning her undergraduate degrees in history and English, she found herself teaching in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey.
While at Mason, Lindsey has continued to challenge herself within her concentration in teaching writing and literature. She has selected classes that are particularly demanding, seeing them as a means to test herself and her teaching philosophy.
Within this challenging curriculum, Lindsey has clearly succeeded. Her professors describe her work in the highest terms, noting that she has excelled in her course work and her work as a graduate teaching assistant and in the university's writing center.
