Where are you from?I am from Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

What was your undergraduate major, and from which university did you graduate?    

I graduated with a double major in Global Studies and Economics from Providence College.

What are some causes/ issues you care about? Why?

Some causes and issues I care about include gender and racial inequality simply because I am affected by these issues and want to do something about them. 

What work/intern/volunteer experience do you have and how has it prepared you for your studies?

I interned with Vital Voices Argentina during the time I was studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the Spring of 2017. It has prepared me for my studies by deepening my understanding of the importance of communities working together and displayed what remarking things can be accomplished through connections, mentorships and building on self-confidence. 

What aspects of Mason made you choose to study here?

Aspects that made me chose to study at Mason include the variety of specializations, the location, and the diversity of the faculty.

What do you hope to accomplish while at Mason?

While at Mason, I hope to have my beliefs and values challenged so that I can continue to grow in intellectual thought.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, watching Netflix, and inspiring others to be true to themselves.

What are you most looking forward to while living in the DC area?

I am looking forward to experiencing the culture and exploring the DC area. 

What is your favorite thing about being a student?

My favorite thing about being a student is the seemingly endless amounts of connections you can make around campus.

Which languages do you speak?

I speak English, Wolof (dialect in West Africa), and am conversational in Spanish.

What was the last book you read? Do you recommend it? (Why/why not)

The last book I read was The Westing Gameby Ellen Raskin. I recommend the book because I made me question everything I thought I knew about each character.
