Nadia has a BA in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. After graduating, Nadia started an award-winning social enterprise in London called Rootless Garden. Their mission was to reduce loneliness for seniors in London and reconnect generations using horticultural therapy.
Nadia later moved to Langhorne, Pennsylvania after accepting a position as a work-unit coordinator for Woods Services, a non-profit serving over 700 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Nadia worked directly with adults with traumatic brain injuries to start another social enterprise called BeechTree: a bath and body company, which provides therapies and employment for adults and children with disabilities. Nadia was then hired by the development team at Woods to serve as their special events manager, running three large fundraisers and other special events every year.
Nadia joined the George Mason Community in November 2018. In her position, Nadia partners with CHSS departments and centers to plan and implement strategies to raise funds for programs and scholarships. She is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors. She is focused on building relationships, improving alumni and community engagement, and helping donors achieve their desired impact at every gift level.
Nadia grew up in London, England where her family still resides. In her free time she enjoys finding treasures at yard-sales, seeing stand-up comedy, and exploring Virginia, her new home, with her husband, Ryan and their dog, Jupiter.
