You will need to show your tickets in order to participate in the Mini Ceremonies. Tickets are being distributed via Eventbrite email to those who registered.
Mini Ceremonies offered by each of Mason’s academic colleges will take place outside EagleBank Arena. These one-hour ceremonies will include brief congratulatory remarks followed by the reading of graduates’ names as they cross the stage and are photographed. There will be no formal procession or recession during Mini Ceremonies.
Registration for the Mini Ceremonies is now closed. Graduates may register for the Patriot Procession until spaces are filled.
Graduates may bring up to three guests, who will be seated with them.
Yes. Those who participate in the Mini Ceremony are required to wear graduation regalia. You can order your cap and gown online for delivery to your home, or buy them in the Mason Bookstore on the Fairfax and Arlington campuses. Registration for the Mini Ceremonies has now closed. A finalized schedule will be announced and graduates who have registered will receive an email with instructions on how to claim their tickets. A tentative schedule that lists the dates by college/school/event, along with information to rent regalia, is available at gmu.edu/graduation.
All events will take place rain or shine. Details about alternate plans for severe weather will be sent to registered participants.

All graduates and their guests are required to complete the Mason COVID Health Check on the day of the event and must be prepared to show their green health check confirmation email to be admitted to their respective events.
