Conservation Discovery Day at the SMSC Campus

Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute will be hosting its first annual Conservation Discovery Day on Saturday October 7th 9am-4pm (Info: https://nationalzoo.si.edu/events/conservation-discovery-day). SMSC is interested in arranging transportation to/from the event for any of our Fairfax students who are interested in attending. Any students interested in attending should email Elizabeth Freeman below by Sept 25th as we need an exact head count.

Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night is a nationally recognized march against domestic violence and sexual assault. It is one of the only events that Women and Gender Studies has put on annually since its inception which makes it one of our signature events. This event gives students the opportunity to share their narratives as well as participate in the march. Rain Location: Patriot’s Lounge This event is co-sponsored by LGBTQ Resources and Student Support and Advocacy Center.
