Explores the art, architecture, and archaeology of Ancient Egypt. Examines the cultural and historic context of Ancient Egyptian art and architecture. Topics may include the influence of ancient attitudes about race, gender, sexuality, and cultural identity on the art of the period as well as the impact of Ancient Egyptian art on ancient Greece and modern western culture.

Besides the famous monuments, students will also examine the influence of ancient attitudes about cultural identity on the art of the period as well as the impact of ancient Egyptian art on ancient Greece and modern western culture.
