Student Awards in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences

The college is proud to recognize the achievements of its students with a series of awards, scholarships, and fellowships that celebrate their hard work and talents.

Through the generous support of faculty, staff, and friends, the college is able to provide Dean's Challenge Scholarships and Fellowships. The Dean's Challenge rewards exceptional graduate and undergraduate students who have excelled in their studies while making academically challenging choices and engaging in notable community service. The college also recognizes successful first-year students with the Freshman Academic Achievement Award and the First-Sweitzer Scholarship.

Each spring the college holds an Undergraduate Research Symposium. The academic year culminates each May with college convocations for graduating students.

In addition to reviewing college-sponsored awards, students may also wish to look into departmental awards by speaking with their department's office.
