Office of Government and Community Relations launches newsletter
The Mason community participates in the 2022 4th of July Parade in the City of Fairfax.

The Office of Government and Community Relations recently launched a newsletter, Mason in the Community, to highlight all the ways Mason is impacting the community.

They will publish two newsletters per semester focusing on the following areas:

  • Students in the Community (volunteerism/service)
  • Research for the Community
  • Classroom in the Community (students applying classroom knowledge benefitting the community)
  • Alumni in the Community.

They also informing our audience about Mason factoid or resource/service in a “Did you know?” section, and they list featured events that are open to the public. You can view the inaugural edition of the newsletter here.

Mason in the Community is sent to approximately 1,600 recipients, comprising the office's group contacts, a targeted campus interest list, Mason Speaker hosts, and anyone who indicated an interest in Mason’s Master Plan/Future.
