Guidance and training on export control regulations - part deux

The Office of Research Integrity and Assurance (ORIA) has created two brief (approximately 30-minute) online training modules in Mason Leaps, one for faculty/researchers and one for administrative professionals, covering topics related to federal requirements surrounding export control and sanctions compliance.

Faculty and staff across the university are required to take this training. This training provides guidance on topics such as international travel with Mason laptops and equipment, international shipments, international travel, and collaborations with nationals from sanctioned countries and travel to these countries.

CHSS faculty, researchers, and staff will be enrolled in the training that aligns with their roles and responsibilities and will receive instructions for accessing it from Mason Leaps.

Awareness of these regulations and how they might impact our research and other activities helps to ensure that the Mason community remains in compliance with federal requirements.

If you have questions after you complete the training, please contact ORIA at export@gmu.edu.
