 For FY16 (July 1, 2015 - June 2016), the College of Humanities and Social Sciences:

  • Submitted 194 proposals requesting $64,778,467, 17% of the total number of proposals submitted university-wide
  • Received 166 awards for $19,697,175, more than 19% of the total awarded university-wide and second only to the College of Science (COS)
  • Posted $18,209,906 in research and development expenditures, second only to COS

The FY16 numbers exceeded FY15 in terms of proposal submissions and awards received, and was slightly less in expenditures.  During FY15, College of Humanities and Social Sciences:

  • Faculty submitted 182 proposals requesting $52,609,735, an increase over FY14's 156 proposal submissions that requested $36,840,132
  • Faculty received 152 awards totaling $19,431,256, an increase over FY14's 159 awards for $14,572,007
  • Research and Development (R&D) expenditures during FY15 were $18,829,876, an increase over FY14's $17,044,282 in R&D expenditures
