What is your involvement on campus?
I am on the Mason Ice Hockey Team.  I also played on the Inline Hockey Team last year.  I play left wing. (Seve currently leads the country in goals scored at the time of the interview).

What has been your favorite class at Mason?
I would have to say CRIM 479- Internship Program.  This class prepares you to be a professional in the field.  You develop your resume and practice skills to prepare you for future employment.

Who is your favorite professor?
I had professor Sylvia Voreas for several of my classes.  She will go out of her way to help you learn the material.  I say that she is my favorite instructor even though I didn’t earn my highest grades in her classes.

What are you most excited about for the 2013-2014 academic year?
This is my senior year, so I am going to miss college.  But I am excited to move forward in my career and take the next step in life.

What are your career goals after graduating from Mason?
I would like to work for the government.  I would imagine that being a special agent would be the next step in my career.

What has been your most meaningful experience at Mason?
Meeting the group of guys that accepted me as their friend when I transferred here to Mason.  I came to Mason from another 4-year institution and it has been very important having such a solid group of friends.

Tell me about your internship experience?
I worked for the Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS).  I was involved with every aspect of highly publicized cases.  I was involved in most major cases in the greater DC area.  I was present in autopsy investigations and search & seizures.  I experienced pretty much everything that a special agent encounters on a daily basis.  I worked in both DC and Quantico.

What advice do you have for new Mason students?
I was an average student in high school.  If you are willing to work hard during your time in college you can be very successful.  Don’t let anyone write you off, hard work will pay off in the end.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I love to play hockey and socialize with friends.  I try to make the most of my time in college.

Who is your favorite hockey player and what is your favorite team?
The Washington Capitals are my favorite team.  Sean Avery is my favorite player.  I model my game after his work.  If you played against him you probably didn’t like him, but if you were his teammate you would love him.
