<p>If you'd like to explore the many ways of life of the peoples of the world and what those seemingly different ways have in common, a major in anthropology would be perfect for you. Majors acquire an understanding of human culture, language, and biology by developing analytical skills, strong writing skills, and a thoroughly cross-cultural perspective. You can use this in a variety of careers such as public archeology, museum anthropology, international law, international development, forensic medicine, and education. Our majors have an opportunity to study abroad in Peru, Malta, Switzerland, and many other locations. Our program promotes on-the-job field experience with internships at such institutions as the Museum of Natural History and with archaeological fieldwork in the surrounding area and as far afield as the Arctic.</p>
