A native of South Korea, Hyunyoung Cho received her BA and MA at Seoul National University and came to the U.S. for her doctoral study, receiving her Ph.D. in English literature at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. In Spring 2014, she joined Mason Korea as a founding faculty member of the campus. She served as the first English Program Coordinator of the campus from 2016 to 2022 and as the inaugural Chair of the Mason Korea Faculty Assembly in 2021. She is the first recipient of the Mason Korea Teaching Award, in 2022.

Her area of specialty is early modern British literature, and combining her research interest in migration with her experience of teaching international students, she has also worked on the issues of transnational education. Her current project examines the ideas of nature and the intersections of literature and science in early modern European culture. She is serving on the Andrew Marvell Society Executive Committee (2022-25) and the International Milton Symposium Standing Committee. 

조현영 교수는 서울대학교 영어영문학과를 졸업하고 동대학원에서 영문학 석사를 받은 후,  미국 럿거스 뉴저지 주립대학교에서 영문학 박사 학위를 받았다.  조지메이슨 대학교 한국캠퍼스에서 문학수업을 강의하고 있으며, 국제 밀턴 심포지움 상임위원회 위원,  국제 앤드류 마블 학회 집행위원회 위원이다.
