Alecia Bryan

Alecia joined the George Mason community in November 2015. She holds a B.S in Finance and a B.A. in English from the University of Florida. She has spent several years working in the insurance industry and teaching at public schools in Florida. A desire to teach writing in the community college setting inspired Alecia to complete her M.A. in English with a focus in Composition and Rhetoric at the University of North Florida. Afterwards, she moved to California and started teaching writing to a demographic of primarily first-generation college students.

Alecia has also worked with a non-profit located in Haymarket, Virginia, where she concentrated on marketing, developing organizational processes, long-range planning, and cultivating community relationships.

Alecia works within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Development office to assist the team with research, event preparation, and administrative support. In her free time she enjoys creative writing, chalk painting, craft beer, cooking, and coincidental alliteration.
