Approved Natural Science Sequences (2013-2014)

Students receiving a BS from the College of Humanties and Social Sciences or the College of Science must complete 8 credits of an approved natural science sequence in a single science. The following 11 natural science sequences have been approved to fulfill this requirement.

This requirement may not be fulfilled by BIOL 124 and 125.

  • CHEM 103 Chemical Science in a Modern Society AND CHEM 104 Chemical Science in a Modern Society
  • CHEM 155 Introduction to Environmental Chemistry I AND CHEM 156 Introduction to Environmental Chemistry II
  • CHEM 211 General Chemistry (1) AND CHEM 212 General Chemistry (2)
  • EVPP 110 The Ecosphere: An Introduction to Environmental Science AND EVPP 111 The Ecosphere: An Introduction to Environmental Science II
  • GEOL 101 Introductory Geology AND GEOL 102 Introductory Geology II
  • PHYS 103 Principles and Development of Modern Physics AND PHYS 104 Principles and Development of Modern Physics 2
  • PHYS 160 University Physics I, PHYS 161 University Physics I Laboratory, PHYS 260 University Physics II, AND PHYS 261 University Physics II Laboratory
