Jill H. Wilson is a senior research analyst and associate fellow at the Metropolitan Policy Program. Her work has focused primarily on immigration and other demographic trends, and the changing geographical settlement of metropolitan areas. Prior to joining Brookings in 2003, Ms. Wilson was the principal researcher on a Migration Policy Institute project to assist immigrant service organizations to make use of demographic data. She also spent five years working for an international human rights organization. She received her M.A. in geography from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where she wrote her thesis on African immigration to the United States with a focus on the Washington metropolitan area. Ms. Wilson has a B.A. in sociology from Wheaton College.
