The IDB Cultural Center in the Office of External Relations and the Embassy of Colombia present a lecture and booksigning by Juan Carlos Botero and interview by George Mason University art history professor Dr. Michele Greet.

(Ediciones El Viso, 2014, 239 pp, $32)
The unmistakable and pleasurable painting and sculpture of Fernando Botero is handsomely illustrated in this new biography by his son Juan Carlos Botero, an award-winning writer and columnist. He covers Botero's early years and influences, his subjects and esthetic convictions, and what the 82-year old Colombian artist is doing today.
