Fourth Annual CHSS Beer Tasting

Beer Tasting Goes Digital

It's back!

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is delighted to invite all almuni, faculty, and friends of the college to this year's CHSS Beer Tasting! Traditionally one of the most popular events of Mason's Alumni Weekend, the fourth annual beer tasting will take place on Saturday, September 20, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. We will feature selections from Alexandria's Port City Brewing Company along with carefully chosen food pairings to go along with the beverages. The event will cost $20 per participant. The first 50 people to sign up will receive a complimentary CHSS pint glass.

The Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media is a true innovator in the collection, archiving, and presentation of digitized history. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the center has successfully turned computer technology into a powerful tool for bringing history to life for students, teachers, and everyday citizens. As part of our beer tasting event, their folks are sure to bring an engaging and fascinating twist.

We are registering attendees for the event via the Alumni Association’s online community. If you have not already joined the online community, doing so is a very quick process. From the Alumni Association's web page, you will see a place to log in or sign up. After finding your name listing, you will be prompted for your Mason ID, which you can find in the footer of your most recent email from the university. Enter that number, sign in with the online community, and registering for all future events will now be a snap.

For Alumni Weekend, click on “Register for Events” and follow the prompts to sign up for the events that interest you. The beer tasting is on the second page of events since it takes place on Saturday.
