Beekeeping through the Camera Lens with Simon Croson

Tuesday, August 12, 2014 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT
Research Hall, 163

Calling all beekeepers, photography buffs and nature enthusiasts! Internationally-known photographer and beekeeper Simon Croson will speak at George Mason University on August 12th at 7 p.m. in Research Hall, Room 163. At the presentation, “Beekeeping through the Camera Lens,” Croson will share his beekeeping imagery and enthusiasm with all.

Based in the United Kingdom, Croson transformed his interest in beekeeping from a hobby to a full-time career and passion. He and his wife now own the Artisan Honey Company, and Croson routinely offers lectures on beekeeping and photography. Croson’s photographs have won top honors at Apimondia, the world event for beekeepers. He also consults with for-profit and non-profit agencies, often using his photographs as teaching resources.

This event is free and open to the public. Visitor parking is available at the Shenandoah parking deck. This event is co-hosted by Mason’s New Century College and the Prince William Regional Beekeepers Association.
