Students must fulfill each of these university general education requirements with a separate course. No course may be used to fulfill more than one university requirement.

Fulfilled by any course in ADJ, ANTH, ECON, GEOG (except 102 or 309), GOVT, PSYC, or SOCI

Transfer students who have completed an AA or AS from the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) have fulfilled all lower level university general education requirements. They will need to complete English 302 and a synthesis course. Transfer students pursuing a BA degree in CHSS or COS also need to meet the foreign language requirement.
