Through this award and the gala reception, the colleges call attention to the value of the scholarly activities in which all faculty are engaged. The students who have received the <a href="../../deanschallenge">Dean's Challenge</a>, an award funded by our generous donors, are recognized during the festivities as well.</p> <p><a href="../../award_for_scholarship">The Award for Scholarship</a> was established in 1996.
