All programs promote the exploration of contemporary issues through integrated interdisciplinary learning that encourages students to forge real-world connections to science, technology, and the community.</p> <p>The college is home to 11 departments in the humanities and social sciences, 11 interdisciplinary programs, one interdisciplinary college, and the award winning <a href="http://tac.gmu.edu">Technology Across the Curriculum Program</a>.</p> <p>Each fall the college sponsors an annual <span class="CP___PAGEID_42655"><a href="../celebration">Celebration of Scholarship</a>,</span> and each spring it holds an annual <a href="../../convocation">college Convocation</a> for graduating students.</p> <p>Through the generous support of faculty, staff, and friends, the college is able to award <a href="../DeansChallenge">Dean's Challenge Scholarships and Fellowships</a>.
